This was highly disappointing given the rates I paid, and should have been no hassle to accommodate…the expectations that come with a hotel with a stellar reputation like MGM really went down in my book. I also asked the front desk agents in person 3 different times over the course of my short stay if I could please have some tea, honey and lemon brought to my room as I was losing my voice as this point and had a show to go to that evening. She said yes, and I tipped her extra to do so. I was still on hold for 45 minutes and counting when she arrived. When my food arrived lukewarm and late the following morning, I asked the lady who delivered my breakfast for hot tea with honey since I couldn’t get through to the front desk prior to the food delivery to ask them to include the tea with my breakfast. I rested and ordered food for the next morning. I came down with a bad cold on the 5 hour drive to the MGM in Detroit.
